My first love

My photography love has been an ongoing obsession since I was twelve years old and took my Kodak 110 camera on a class trip to Springfield, IL.  The satisfaction of the click, advancing the film with your thumb, turning on the flash and waiting for it to warm up, popping those film cartridges in and out.  The anticipation of seeing "what came out"...at Walgreens...a week later.  I am smiling just thinking about it.

In college, at Marquette University, I took a photojournalism class and my goose was cooked.  I learned to develop film, got a job as a darkroom lab assistant and spent countless hours of my life in the basement of Johnston Hall dodging and burning and floating test strips in the fix.
